Lampard joins in chorus of disapproval of Wembley pitch
Frank Lampard has added to the growing number of high-profile people complaining about the state of the Wembley pitch. Earlier this week, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and his Manchester United counterpart Sir Alex Fergsuon, criticised the state of the Wembley pitch following the FA Cup semi-final defeats for their sides. Lampard feels the multi-functional use of the stadium - Wembley also hosts pop concerts as well as rugby and NFL matches - is having an adverse effect on the playing surface.
